We try and keep our family photography very natural, capturing the action as it happens, so it's lots of fun and not too much posing. We feel this will bring out the true character of your children and will also make the session more enjoyable.

A park is always a great location. It offers simple non cluttered backgrounds that will help your family photos stand out. Trees offer natural shade that is flattering for portraits. Your home, your backyard, the street in front of your home is also a nice choice. The one-hour sessions take place in one location - either in your family home or in a park. The two-hour (and more hours) sessions can be in 1-2 locations – maybe starting at your home and then moving on to a place of your choice or a place that means a lot to you as a family.

It's great if you can bring along some of your child's favourite toys, games, balls, kites, bubbles – anything that you enjoy doing together as a family. Snacks are also a good idea to boost your child's energy levels.

The absolute most important thing is that you are comfortable. So do wear what you feel good in, as that will usually show through in the photos.

Clothes with texture and colour are great – think about what would look interesting, and try to co-ordinate styles a bit if you’re doing a couple or family shoot. (You don’t have to wear the same colours, but co-ordinate outfits that compliment each other.)

Depending on which photography package you choose, we may need to budget time for wardrobe or location changes, which are absolutely welcomed.

Important Note: Consider the weather during your shoot date, and make sure you’ll be warm/cool enough in whatever you wear!

There is not really a set guideline, but normally 2-3 months in advance is good for a family session to ensure availability, although a month or less in advance *may* sometimes work, especially during ‘off-season’/colder months.

A deposit is required to reserve photography for your date. Depending on the session you book, a signed contract might be required as well.

Family/Children sessions are normally delivered within 2 weeks.

All photos selected will be professionally retouched, colour corrected and of the highest quality.

Absolutely. Most of our clients live in the GTA, but if you have an idea that requires some travel, we can work out a reasonable travel fee.
